My father and I had a wonderful experience during our recent weekend staying in cabin #6. Very clean facilities and great help from Terri, you're the best!! And had fun planning with her pup Phish... Thanks a bunch!! Hope to be there again soon.
My husband and I had such a great tine at True North Basecamp. It was so cold outside, but our cabin stayed plenty warm. The convenient access to the Cuyuna trails made our fat biking weekend so fun and easy. I’d love to stay again sometime!
Stayed there 10/28/17 - it was 35 degrees this past weekend and I called and emailed trying to get info on an early check-in as I was looking to drop the dogs off at the cabin prior to heading out on the mountain bike trails. They never responded to my email or multiple voice mails.
We stayed here over MEA weekend (Oct 19-20). It was my husband and I with our two boys. The cabins were perfect. Right off the trails. It made for an easy quick trip. Bathrooms were cleaned daily and very nice. Many dining options in town within walking distance. But the cabins were facing the lake so it felt like we were in the middle of nature. We enjoyed the trails too and will definitely be back again!
TLDR: The place is great, but the people don't respond to email or phone calls.
long-time listener, first-time caller. The True North cabins are clean, and warm, – it was -6° on the day we checked in, and really couldn't ask for much more. Trails and town easily accessible. Definitely will return.
The cabins themselves are great! Clean and simple, great location, everything you need in a minimalist way. Would stay here again but wouldn't expect anything in the way of customer service.
