I grew up on a lot bordering north of here. Not a 5 star because as it gets built up, more people, pollution and less nature is left.
Absolutely gorgeous and historical. Kind of a "who knew," place. Loved the bridge of remembrance and plenty of places to stop and meditate on the surroundings. Beautiful.
Me and my family enjoyed the view of the lakes and the history behind this mine it was overall great!
An fascinating piece of recent history, the website has a lot of great information and the park service has done a great job with the trails and historical markers.
